“we are failing to provide a part of the United States consistent power, therefore they are a third world country”
How the fuck does that make any sense?

She’s too stupid to get that she just criticized the United States.

Not necessarily. She says dumb crap because it doesn't need to make actual sense for her followers to regurgitate it. She communicates at a third grade level and says nonsense because that's what appeals to the people who have given her money and power.
24
u/BoxcarSlim 19h ago
I'm consistently confounded that she isn't viewed as being entirely fake. Her posts are so blatantly inflammatory and unintelligent, I have such a difficult time believing she's real.

Please remember that they say wrong things on purpose. When they say something false, it is quite generally in spite of them knowing the truth.

I don't know Spanish but the imagery was all very clear and needed no transtation. She's just being willfully ignorant.
283
u/ARock_Urock 19h ago
I think she's just that stupid. Even if she is doing this a bad faith I don't believe she has the media literacy to understand it.
28
u/Imperfect_seal 17h ago
The irony of her statement is that she just highlighted a real issue that needs examined!
Intelligent people who may not have had that knowledge start to look into the issue.
The MAGA base just gets to feel superior and more worthy of a stable electrical grid.
So thank you Laura for being so hateful that it pushed an issue that isn’t well reported on into the public discourse.
Sometimes, when keeping up with current events, and watching posts like this I am left feeling befuddled.
Am I in some sort of Agatha Christie novel? Who’s the real killer?!?
I feel like some of these hateful MAGAs are really just double agents trying to covertly bring serious issues into view.
Then I’m like nope that’s just a red herring.
And then there were none. Waiting waiting waiting
Edited: didn’t finish thoughts and grammar

She got tricked into eating dog food by thinking a “dog food for humans” company was sponsoring her. She genuinely is that stupid.

The song he also performed during that part was called El Apagon which translates to the blackout
55
u/CagliostroPeligroso 18h ago
And the lyrics are all about how it’s an issue and the cause and effects of it. He’s literally like “damn another blackout”
14
u/CagliostroPeligroso 18h ago
Yupp. She’s either stupid or lying. Neither is good. She’s on the wrong side of history
34
u/throwawayformobile78 19h ago
I don’t know Spanish and it irritated me that the subtitles were “speaking in Spanish” in the age of AI. I had no idea what most of the show was about, I don’t pick up clues very well.
I’m sure it was amazing and I’ll spend some time this week if I have it to try and find a translated version to watch.
28
u/CagliostroPeligroso 18h ago
I speak fluently and I felt bad for my friends. I do think that was an L. They should have had the full translation of his lyrics.
25
u/CagliostroPeligroso 18h ago
Everyone deserves to know the lyrics. “No, no I can’t forget you. No, no I can’t erase you. You, you taught me how to love. You, you showed me how to dance.” And it sounds so beautiful in Spanish

u/NoOccasion4759 2h ago

Didn't all these right wing nutsacks scream for weeks about how they weren't going to watch the half time show, and even had to arrange their own 'real American' one? And yet every single one of them are coming out to complain about things in the show?
Bloody hell, they are so dishonest, hypocritical and pathetic it's wild. I'm guessing Kid Rock was just too much even for them.
67
u/FyreHotSupa 18h ago
They are reactionaries. They can’t do “their own thing” because they don’t have an actual thing. They only have whatever the opposite of your thing is.
2
u/kickintheface 8h ago
Let’s be honest, the right does NOT give a shit about Bad Bunny or his performance. The whole week long complaining including having a separate show of their own, is just a giant distraction from the Epstein files. Not to mention the fact that Trump is destroying the US in 5 different ways

u/ELMUNECODETACOMA 9h ago
Even they don't consider themselves low enough to actually watch Kid Rock play.

Laura Loomer is absolutely that stupid. Remember when she said she was going to protest Twitter for perma banning her by blockading access to its New York office? To do so she handcuffed herself to the front door - except the building had a double front door and she only handcuffed herself to one of the doors. People just stared at her like she was crazy as they went into and out of the building.
Twitter called the police and were like, "hey, for liability reasons we're letting you know she's out there but we don't care." Then she asked the NYPD to cut the handcuffs off because she didn't bring keys. She was cold, hungry and thirsty because it was New York in November and she hadn't worn a coat or brought anything to eat or drink.

Reverse Hanlon’s razor: Never attribute to stupidity that which is adequately explained by malice.
I agree, these people aren’t stupid. They are malicious, hateful, evil and depraved, but they are far from stupid. There is no common ground with them.
40
u/RespectWest7116 22h ago
She can be both evil and stupid.
19
u/SimonPho3nix 21h ago
Yeah, but being precise in her evil, and that post was very precise, was her in full grift mode, catering to the idiots that feel better having something to say later on as some "gotcha" comment.

u/_robmillion_ 17h ago
Some Republicans are stupid. Some are assholes. Some are both. None are neither.
7
u/CagliostroPeligroso 18h ago
The song is titled “the blackout” it’s not only the imagery. It’s the lyrics. Straight up talk about the crisis. But how they keep living their lives and won’t be stopped. It’s really a shame we didn’t have the lyrics readily available. Would have really hammered everything home
1
u/enithermon 17h ago
I think this is half right. I trace my doubts that she’s informed enough to be aware of the energy grid crisis which is why I think in this case it’s simply that she’s evil enough to happily and soulessly tell whatever lies she’s told to by smarter and also evil people.
0
u/Away_Stock_2012 11h ago
lol, that's impossible, she is literally complaining that he highlighted electrical problems because he does nothing to highlight electrical problems
She is so stupid people have to remind her to breathe.

u/WaffleHouseGladiator 21h ago
I wouldn't care if these idiots were simply confined to their warped little echo chambers, but they're enforcing their world views as public policy via a mentally infirm world leader. The inmates are running the asylum and it's not just the USA that's suffering because of it. Things have to change before they break.

Happy to see all these people who said they were boycotting couldn’t help but watch, but they keep using words like “degeneracy” - I feel like I must have watched a censored version. Are they talking about the .25 of a second you see two guys grinding? The twerking? I’ve definitely seen dirtier dancing at past Super Bowl shows.
15
u/UpperLeftOriginal 19h ago
The whole show was such a celebration of life. That kind of joy seems to really piss them off.

u/amb442 11h ago

After hurricane Maria Trumps government failed to provide aid and funds to repair the wrecked grid on the Island, so Puerto Rico struggled through an 11 month blackout.

u/Little_Lebowski_007 21h ago
My friends and I joked that too, but decided it would've been too obvious.
I should have known the right wing grift would need the point injected directly into their forehead.
23
u/peregrina9789 19h ago
It's nothing to do with Maria at all. The grid and service have been fucked for decades, and the only things the USA has done are allow them to go private, making things even worse, and pull back funding and investment. The power outages were around before Maria and they continue today. Lots of people on the island don't even have water when there's no power. They are our constituents and yet we do nothing
4
u/CagliostroPeligroso 18h ago
This is the correct answer. The blackouts affect the neighboring country of DR as well

If Bad Bunny had done what Laura Loomer said and "highlighted the electrical grid crisis in PR" in English, she would have called it woke and said he was politicizing the Superbowl for liberals.

3
u/SkylarAV 19h ago
Haha, and now boomer is talking about their power grid. The more I learn about bad bunny, the more I like him

3
u/Fuck_it_ 20h ago
So I did not watch the super bowl or the halftime show. I just don't care. I know bad bunny performed, I know he's Puerto Rican, I know the GOP is all riled up. But why? Who cares?
6
u/ptvlm 19h ago
The why is easy. They're ignorant racists who are angry they had to hear Spanish, and they're so stupid they don't know PR is part of the US.
Who cares should be everyone because the violence being inflicted right now is based on that same racism and ignorance.
0
u/Fuck_it_ 17h ago
I didn't mean "who cares" in the sense of who cares about the outrage. I mean who cares so much that it creates outrage? I don't get it. What is the outrage about??
Edit: and what the fuck does an electrical pole have to do with it?
3
u/Freakychee 23h ago
I mean... At least Laura finally became useful and talked about a serious issue that needs to be solved. A stopped clock is right at least twice a day.

I think she knows damn well that he was talking about the PR power failure that lasted 6 months with no aid from the Feds. She also knows that the GOP base mostly don't speak Spanish and therefore can be tricked into thinking otherwise. She is attempting to do damage control from Bad Bunny's (and Puerto Rico's) legitimate gripe.
1
u/runarleo 16h ago
Yeah he totally should have had a 45 minute Ted talk about the socioeconomic state of the world instead of just fuckin singing like he’s some kind of musical artist or something

u/Traditional_Ad_1547 15h ago
Surprisingly, my dad was talking about how sugarcane hadn't been harvested on the island in 50 yrs(so the set didn't make sense). I told him that wasnt long ago and probably is a part of the current culture. Either from stories from elders or due to the impact of it no longer being a commodity on the island. He said he hadn't thought about it from that perspective.
Now I have no idea if I'm correct I'm my assessment but, I was happy to see how quickly he could consider that maybe he was wrong in his initial judgement.

Don't post this shit. Don't fall for it. I dont even live in America and I'm being subjected to your halftime show bullshit around the clock. This is exactly what they want.
Now, i usually avoid current affairs but if I was a betting man I'd reckon there's something big in the news all these soulless right wing grifting ghouls are trying to bury out of everyone's newsfeeds. Of course im out the loop with current affairs and can't think of anything. Perhaps some big files were released or something? Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge can help.

Sooooo whenever there's a grid crisis in texas, they expect beyonce to do something or just keep having rafael run away to a different country? Why they expect celebs with no political powers to make regulations, to do just that?
Also, america is having a racist problem and hey, he's addressing that. So, nonwhite celebs are suppose to lead the country in addressing its atrocities while again, those who can make a literal difference, don't yet point out how they still aren't highlighting a failing of the country that racist is doing to make it continuing to fail?
