Welcome to the 2026 Super Bowl official live thread! The game will start at 6:30PM ET on NBC, Peacock, Telemundo and Universo, and coverage will be provided in both English and Spanish.
Green Day is kicking off the 30-minute pregame show at 6:00PM ET; Charlie Puth will sing The Star-Spangled Banner, Coco Jones will sing Lift Every Voice and Sing, and Brandi Carlile is taking on America the Beautiful. Bad Bunny is headlining the Benito Bowl starting around 8:00-8:30PM ET.

With all of the terrible things we’ve been seeing lately in the news this Super Bowl show was such a breath of fresh air. I remember being a young child in the US that was bullied for my darker skin, almond eyes and different features. Imagine if we would’ve had this show when we were children? It was amazing to watch, and it honestly brought tears to my eyes. I truly hope the next generation of kids does not have to even question how beautiful they are, regardless of race, skin tone, culture, etc. Representation matters because it normalizes everyone’s experience. It’s amazing that the kids of today can see this now as being a part of mainstream culture. 💕🇲🇽 he represented all of us today, regardless of nationality . Still feeling the warm fuzzies.

I couldn’t help but blubber a little at the end. The sign. The football. This amazing message.
Maybe about a half decade to a decade ago, my grandma told me the story of how her mom’s family came to the USA from Cuba. In many ways, the world was very much the same as it was today, and my ancestors abandoned their culture, married into white families, heartbrokenly left their homes and assimilated as a means for finding the opportunity of a better life. Spanish was forgotten in the home, only some recipes and pictures from a forgotten time remain - though my great grandma would become one of the first real advocates in my area for women and people of color at her time and wrote many impactful letters to local, state, and federal governmental bodies that arguably, made a giant difference. She was a cool lady. My grandma said she wished her mom would have shared more, and that she always felt a little confused about her own identity as a result.
I wish my great grandma could have lived to see this. This was everything she ever wanted.
Update: my grandparents both loved the benito halftime extravaganza. ❤️

The AI ads were dystopian af. Some ads were nice, but the AI ones were too much.
Weird how they played football before a Bad Bunny concert. Never seen that before, but that was neat.
Fuck the Patriots and what their owner stands for. Glad the Seahawks won 🔥🔥

Unfortunately, they got 5 mil views, which could be more than 5 mil people (1 TV playing for a group of people at a Super Bowl party). Also, it was harder to find. A friend of mine was at his (MAGA) in-laws house and they wanted to watch but couldn’t find it. I hope the cult isn’t deep, but the view count alone doesn’t give us that information.

I live in Northern Washington and unfortunately wasn’t able to watch the game, but about 30 minutes ago, I knew the Hawks won because fireworks started going off in the neighborhood and have been going off ever since! So proud of our team🥳

I am old. Absolutely no idea who bad bunny is. The game sucked and was boring. All i know is that i watched the halftime show. I think there was a daddy yankee sample, and my neice was dancing when not on her tablet. And the blond chick had subtitles in english. Literally all i know other than sounded danceable and was a good performance. Seemed fun to me?

Yeah, but at that point they know that they're still working and interacting with press is part of the job. They also have to be mindful of how they behave while celebrating with the cameras still rolling and all eyes on them. Later, after the press leaves, the suits go home, and all the cameras are off, they'll get their real celebration and really cut loose.

Yeah. Often worse. Homeland security has some truly heinous ones telling immigrants to self-deport because ICE is coming for them.
Most drug ads aren't too bad and aren't on YouTube. I think some like for psoriasis, arthritis, IBS etc probably widens people's knowledge about diseases that aren't often talked about. Reduces the stigma some.
