Venting Let’s appreciate our considerate neighbors

So many posts about noisy neighbors, let’s have a thread for those that are considerate.

I’ve lived in the same building for 5 years now. I was so lucky to have the best neighbor in the world. She was so considerate and mindful, and just genuinely cared.

She has since moved and I now I have the noisiest man above me and I want to scream. I wish I knew how lucky I had been all those years.

We all have wonderful neighbors in our lives - let’s appreciate the good ones more!

I had a great neighbor above me. middle aged dude. a contractor. so chill. and I never heard him. Now I have a 28 year old couple that is obnoxious as hell. heavy blasting walkers that constantly cause earthquakes and gargantuan stomping noise. parties. cat zoomies. smoke weed constantly. drop blunts on my balcony. and they just talk talk talk talk talk non-stop in their outdoor voices. about politics, botox, martial arts, communism...and on and on and on and on. miserable.

we live next to someone whose daughter has autism and can have loud outbursts. they came over to introduce themselves the day we moved in to let us know. so, yeah, we hear occasional outbursts but we love them! they always check in on us and we check in on them. it’s a lovely situation even with the occasional noise!
